Discussing gender in the workplace brings to light issues that contribute to low rates of women studying and working in STEM fields, in particular engineering. The following activities are meant to help teams open discussions about awareness of gender issues. This first step toward awareness is the start of a long journey in changing the workplace atmosphere to incorporate equity, inclusion and diversity. These steps also work toward attracting and retaining qualified and talented young people in STEM. Give your team the tools to support gender parity and gender equity in STEM. Please let us know if you have feedback about these activities. Activities are in progress of being created as we use them this 2018-2019 year. |
