Our fully-equipped machine shop allows team members to develop confidence in hand tools, welding, and using various tools such as saws, a drill press, a lathe, and a plasma cutter, all in a safety-conscious environment. We are proud to be Kingston's only FRC team with an in- house machine shop.

Machine Mavericks strives to maintain a 50/50 male to female ratio. We believe that young women and men learning to work together is of great value to the 21st-century workplace, and that they can achieve more together than they can apart. Our Team Mission: To provide high school students with a big picture view of a STEM enterprise by having industry-experienced mentors teach them, hands-on, a broad range of hard and soft practical skills. Our young women and men collaborate, create and succeed together in the FRC competition in order to learn the value of gender equity in the workplace. We believe that young women and men learning to work together is of great value to the 21st century workplace.
